DAT Weekly Trends Show Increased Rates Due To Holiday Season

According to the DAT, weekly spot market rates for December 23-29, 2018 increased for dry van, refrigerated and flatbed freight. Factors such as increased load-to-truck ratios and lower overall capacity contributed to these rate increases. See more here.

FMSCA Strikes Down California Meal And Rest Break Rules

In a recent ruling, the FMSCA decided that California’s proposed meal and rest break rule can not overrule the federally mandated meal and rest break rule for truck drivers. A recent ruling in India states that a foreign retailer such as Walmart would need to source no more than 25 percent of their product from a single third-party vendor. As a result, Walmart would need to re-evaluate their delivery supply chain in India by February 1, 2019. See more here.

Walmart’s Grocery Delivery Plans For 2019
