Impending US Government Shutdown Averted

On the afternoon of February 15, 2019, US President Donald Trump signed an emergency spending bill to avert a partial government shutdown. The legislation provides $333 Billion worth of funding to several key Cabinet agencies through September 2019.

Possible Delay In Proposed S301 Tariffs (HTS 9903.88.03)

On February 12, 2019, the Administration announced they could possibly extend the deadline for proposed S301 tariffs under HTS 9903.88.03 if the United States and China are close to reaching a trade agreement. Since the US and China still need to reach a deal, proposed S301 List 3 Tariffs on $200 billion worth of imports are slated to increase from 10 percent to 25 percent on March 1, 2019.
