William R. Goodgion is President of Ascent Global Logistics where he is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, revenue, profitability and growth of the company and its three solution offerings: Domestic Freight Management, International Freight Forwarding and Retail Consolidation.
Goodgion previously served as President of Roadrunner Global Solutions, joining Roadrunner Transportation Systems in April 2015. Prior to joining Ascent Global Logistics, Bill spent 15 years at FedEx Trade Networks where he served as a Managing Director of Regional Operations and their Managing Director of Global Distribution Services. Goodgion also served as Managing Director of Operations for Post Trucking and held several local and regional leadership positions at Tower Group International and the Geo. S. Bush Co., Inc., which he joined in 1992.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business, with a concentration in supply chain and operations management. Goodgion also proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
Chris M. Cook is President of Ascent Global Logistics Domestic Freight Management where he is responsible for the growth of the Transportation Solutions, Transportation Management, Ascent Power and Ascent Specialized divisions. Ascent Global Logistics Domestic Freight Management provides Asset-Based Truckload Services, Truckload Brokerage, Heavy Haul, Refrigerated LTL Consolidation and a full suite of 3rd party logistics solutions. Cook previously served as President of Roadrunner Truckload Plus, joining Roadrunner Transportation Systems in January of 2013.
Prior to joining Ascent Global Logistics, Chris spent 4 years at RR Donnelley managing the independent agent model of the business. He also spent 8 years with ABF Freight fulfilling various sales and operation management roles during that period.
He attended Lakeland University as well as the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Micah Holst is President of Ascent Global Logistics International Freight Forwarding where he is responsible for the success of the company’s global logistics operations including international multi-modal transportation and customs expertise provided to import and export clients. Ascent Global Logistics International Freight Forwarding provides Air and Ocean Transportation, Order Management, Regulatory Compliance Services, Customs Brokerage, Customs Bonds, Duty Drawback, Reconciliation and State-of-the-Art Technology.
Micah began his journey in the global transportation and trade industry in 2004 as an export operations team member. In 2006, Micah transitioned into the sales organization, focusing on building long-term partnerships with importers and exporters while working with operations to ensure optimal routing and compliance with international trade regulations. In 2013 Micah became President and has since led the International Freight Forwarding team at Ascent Global Logistics with a focus on continuous improvement and technology enhancements surrounding the customer experience.
Prior to joining Ascent Global Logistics, Micah played professional baseball in the San Francisco Giants organization for four seasons.
Micah graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Business in 2000.
William (Bill) Vechiarella is President of Ascent Global Logistics Retail Consolidation where he is responsible for leading the strategy and alignment with the nation’s largest big-box retailers while managing safe and efficient warehouse operations for five facilities spanning 2.5+ million square feet. Ascent Global Logistics Retail Consolidation provides Walmart, Sam’s Club and other big-box retailer Consolidation Programs, OTIF (On-Time In-Full) Support, Dry and Temperature Controlled Food-Grade Warehousing, Case Picking, Cross Docking and State-of-the-Art TMS and WMS.
William is focused on meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations while helping develop innovative strategies alongside fellow team members. Prior to joining Ascent Global Logistics, William spent over 18 years at Brink’s Incorporated where he served as the Regional Vice President of the Great Lakes Region and Northeast Region, the Vice President of Operations for the United States and the Vice President of Business Integration. Prior to Brink’s, William was a member of the FedEx Ground team for nine years as a Senior Operations Manager and Terminal Manager.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business, with a concentration in human resource management and personnel administration from the University of Kansas.
