American Trucking Associations’ seasonally adjusted For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index increased 2.3 percent in January 2019. Experts agree that the ATA Truck Tonnage index could continue to increase in 2019. See more here.
DAT Could Begin To See Rate Increases In Coming Weeks
In the latest report from the DAT, volumes along critical shipping lanes are expected to begin increasing. Normally, volume increases do not appear until at least mid-March. See more here.
US Administration Plans To Delay Implementing S301 List 3 Tariffs

Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach Report Strong Year-To-Date Growth In 2019
The Port of Los Angeles’ imports increased by 5.4 percent year-over-year in January 2019 to 852,440 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). The Port of Long Beach imported 657,286 TEUs in January 2019. See more here.
OTIF Changes From Walmart: Here Is What To Expect In 2019
On February 26, 2019, Walmart revealed changes to their On-Time In Full (OTIF) requirements to suppliers at the Walmart Supplier Summit. Beginning May 2019, Walmart will change the OTIF measurement to a review of On-Time case performance separate from In-Full case performance. See more here.
Walmart’s Competitive Advantages Not Limited To Product And Price
According to Forbes Magazine, Walmart saw overall sales grow 4.2 percent and ecommerce sales grow 43 percent in Q4 2018. As a result of rapid ecommerce expansion, Walmart suppliers will need a retail consolidation partner who can help their supply chains grow in the digital age. See more here.
