Class 8 Sales Positive In December 2018

Legislation To Delay Section 232 Tariffs On Autos Introduced
In a recent trade report from Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, members of the United States Senate are proposing legislation to delay Section 232 tariffs. The Department of Commerce will need to determine whether or not to conclude its investigation on Section 232 tariffs of automobiles and automobile parts by February 17, 2019. December US-Bound Ocean Imports Finish Strong In 2018
According to global trade intelligence firm Panjiva, ocean freight imports entering the United States increased 6.4 percent year-over-year to 12,346,524 in 2018. Shipments in December 2018 increased 8.8 percent year-over-year to 1,053,009. See more here.
