The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) announced that the cost for operating a truck increased 6 percent in 2017. The cost increase can be attributed to factors including driver wages, fuel costs, vehicle leasing costs and insurance premiums. See more here.
Driver Turnover For Large Truckload Fleets Hits Highest Level Since 2015
According to the American Trucking Associations (ATA), the annualized turnover rate at large truckload carriers increased to 98 percent in Q2 2018. The ATA expects this high turnover rate could be connected to the driver shortage. See more here.
